Best-in-class AI content design: Prompting, workflows, and responsible use

This three-hour session will give you a practical, hands-on introduction to working with generative AI (GenAI). You’ll find out what these tools can and can’t do, write prompts that produce useful results, and build workflows you can put to work the same day. No prior experience needed.

The aim is to give you an approach, so you keep improving long after the session ends. We’ll focus on writing clear prompts, so you can use GenAI to support your research and content work. You’ll leave more confident, with greater clarity about how to use GenAI responsibly.

By the end of this session, you’ll be able to:

• Explain what GenAI is and what it can and can’t do for content design work.
• Write effective prompts using a clear six-part framework.
• Use GenAI to analyze research data and draft content that meets user needs.
• Check and refine the outputs you get back.
• Apply responsible habits for using GenAI in your day-to-day work.

What you’ll need:

To participate, you’ll need access to a GenAI tool, with a free account. ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini all work. If you want to use Microsoft Copilot, you’ll need the paid Microsoft 365 Copilot, as the free version won’t cover the exercises.
