Design an AI agent that thinks like a content designer

Content designers clarify context, cut unnecessary copy, and help teams weigh trade-offs. Most AI tools skip that work and jump straight to writing text. This session shows how to design AI that supports content design principles.

We’ll walk through an AI agent built for UX messaging. The agent first confirms shared understanding. Then, the agent offers three options with rationales. The approach came from an unexpected place: fantasy football, where decisions are locked and the real work is understanding risk and outcomes. The guiding principle is simple: Humans make the final choice. The talk includes a short, pre-recorded demo of how content designers interact with the AI agent.

In this session, you’ll learn how to:

  • Design an AI agent for UX messaging.
  • Build AI behavior based on content design principles.
  • Remove unnecessary tooltips and helper text.
  • Present options instead of one “best” answer.
  • Keep humans in control.
