Amanda Costello

Amanda Costello is a content strategist, plain language editor, and bureaucromancer who loves making sense of big systems. Until March of 2025, she was a design lead at 18F, a digital services agency inside the US General Services Administration (GSA), where she partnered with other federal agencies to modernize technology and build public access. Before that, she was lead content strategist for the University of Minnesota’s College of Education and Human Development.

She is currently a strategy consultant partnering with state and local governments, non-profits, and higher education. She enjoys filling out forms because it feels like taking a test where she knows all the answers.
