Marissa Phillips

Marissa Phillips leads the content design and copywriting teams across Block, which includes Square and Cash App, and these days she's mostly hands-on with the creative for growth marketing. She's been writing in tech for the past 15 years and served in a number of design leadership roles, managing designers and DPMs, as well. Marissa was among the first dozen or so content designers at Meta, and then went on to start the UX Writing team at Airbnb, where she honed the voice across product and brand. She lives in Santa Cruz, California, and stays busy with two kids under 6!
