What happens when we treat accessibility as a checkbox at the end of the design process? We end up with expensive redesigns, frustrated users, compliance risks, and missed opportunities. But creating accessible content doesn’t have to be overwhelming or time-consuming.

In this talk, Farheen shares how inconsistent support in accessibility checkers in common design tools leaves content designers to fill the gaps. She’ll explore how to shift accessibility earlier in the process by baking it into tools, workflows, and products and how her team works with organizations during R&D to prevent inaccessible content from the start.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Recognize how accessibility issues impact real users.
  • Uncover hidden barriers to accessibility.
  • Fix accessibility problems before they become costly.
  • Build an action plan to integrate accessibility seamlessly into content workflows (without adding extra burdens).
