As content designers, we often flag risks to people and business as a part of our hands-on work. However, the solutions for those risks might be complex and require long-term strategy, leading to a growing list of problems that could have been prevented if only product teams had addressed earlier.

You can strengthen your ability to drive ethical development by learning responsible foresight, the practice of anticipating risks.

Shirley will introduce the concept of “responsible foresight” and provide practical methods for incorporating it into your design process. She’ll share learnings about managing strong stakeholder perspectives and driving responsible action. You’ll walk away with case studies, exercises, and discussion questions to lead cross-functional teams in minimizing risk.

In this session, you’ll learn how to:

  • Flag risks in product development to people and business.
  • Advocate for responsible foresight across teams.
  • Gain a suite of tools to help cross-functional teams minimize risk.
